Former Kaizer Chifs winger Junior Khanye believes Sipho Mbule is going to be important for Orlando Pirates this season, as he has the character to be a match winner.
Mbule debuted for Pirates this past weekend, starting in the MTN 8 quarter-final clash against Polokwane City and lasted 69 minutes, with his new side seeing off Rise & Shine with 2-0 score-line.
Khanye was really impressed with the former Sundowns midfielder, however warned that the 27-year-old shouldn’t get carried away by the performance.
“Sipho Mbule is a person that will win you a game,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.
“If tactically there’s team going at them pound for pound and match Orlando Pirates. He’s match winner. He’s crazy that one and please hear me well, I mean he’s got a strong character.
“He’s talented and he’s gifted. He was born for this, he played for 65 minutes but he will always show up.
“He’s the kind of midfielder that knows how to turn and wherever he likes and he doesn’t turn into traffic. He knows football sometimes you’ll think the guy has eyes at the back [of his head] but I’m not surprised.
“The boy is going to be important to Orlando Pirates because he’s going to win them certain games. Him alone will stand out, if he remains disciplined.
“He shouldn’t be get carried away by this game or seven games because the nation is going to benefits, the Mbules too, he’ll create legacy for his kids and family. The boy did very well.”
