Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have found themselves on the back foot of criticism after it emerged that they announced the departure of one of their stalwarts.

It is reported that they did so without speaking to the player’s management before taking that decision.

According to football ethics, a club should sit down with a players agent before taking the decision to axe a player.

This is to allow certain terms to be reached ans agreed upon by both parties.

Amakhosi announced the departure of Cole Alexander without speaking to host management about that decision.

“I don’t know why they announced his departure before speaking to his management. If Cole wants, he can stay at the club for a year and get his salary but at his age of 33, he needs to be playing,” saod a mole at the club.

Alexander was shown the exit door after being deed surplus to requirements at Naturena.

Chiefs have already announced the promotion of Molefi Ntseki as their new head coach.
