Kaizer Chiefs have made no transfer moves during the ongoing January window. However, that looks set to change.
Unlike their PSL rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, Amakhosi have been quite this transfer window to date.
As at the time of publication, Kaizer Chiefs have announced no player departures and made no signings.
However, the latest news is that a R4 million Glamour Boy could be heading out of Naturena.
KAIZER CHIEFS STRIKER ON HIS WAY OUT
Tashreeq Morris is facing a likely departure out of Naturena.
The talented striker has struggled for gametime at Amakhosi since joining the Soweto giants from the now-defunct SuperSport United.
Initially, he was hardly utilised by coach Nasreddine Nabi. Unfortunately for him, the situation did not change when Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze took over the helm on an interim basis.
In fact, if anything, things have gotten even worse for Morris at Naturena.
Kaizer Chiefs recently brought in the likes of Etiosa Ighodaro, Flavio Silva, Khanyiso Mayo and Glody Lilepo as attacking options. All of these men are ahead in the pecking order at the club.
Meaning, a move out of Naturena is probably in the best interest’s of both Morris and Amakhosi.
PSL RIVALS AND GAVIN HUNT AFTER R4 MILLION AMAKHOSI MAN
New Stellenbosch FC head coach Gavin Hunt is said to want to bring Morris to the Winelands.
“Talks to move Morris to the Winelands side are at an advanced stage,” read a recent FARPost report.
Hunt is a former coach of Kaizer Chiefs (Morris’ current club). He is also a former coach of SuperSport United (where Morris came from).
Currently, Morris is reportedly worth around R4 million, according to Transfermarkt.
