Kaizer Chiefs Move Quickly to Sign Yaya Sithole

Posted on June 27, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs have secured the signing of midfielder Yaya Sithole after his loan spell at Gil Vicente ended without a permanent deal. The 23-year-old returns to his parent club, CD Tondela, who were recently promoted back to Portugal’s top division.

Sithole, who remains under contract with Tondela until June 2026, will now join Amakhosi as they reinforce their squad ahead of the new season. Chiefs acted swiftly to complete the deal, adding depth to their midfield options.

The South African club will hope Sithole’s European experience can bolster their campaign as they target silverware under new management.
