Kaizer Chiefs Close In on Left-Back Nkanyiso Shinga

Kaizer Chiefs are in advanced talks to sign 25-year-old left-back Nkanyiso Shinga from Portuguese club FC Alverca. The newly promoted Primeira Liga side could soon finalize the transfer, with Shinga reportedly high on Amakhosi’s wishlist.

The South African defender, who helped Alverca earn promotion to Portugal’s top division, would add much-needed depth to Chiefs’ backline. If completed, the deal would mark another European-based signing for the Soweto giants as they rebuild under their new technical team.

Chiefs fans will hope Shinga’s arrival strengthens a defense that conceded 30 goals last PSL season. The club is moving swiftly in the transfer market ahead of their pre-season preparations.
