Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the release of five players. More player departures are on the cards.

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of FIVE players.

However, they are far from done with the process of trimming down the squad.

MORE CHIEFS DEPARTURES IMMINENT

Chiefs have released five players so far.

So, Ranga Chivaviro, Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove and Mduduzi Mdantsane have all been released by Amakhosi.

Meanwhile, Fiacre Ntwari, Edson Castillo, Tebogo Potsane and Bongani Sam are all likely to be heading out of Naturena.

Both Potsane and Sam are also heading out of Naturena. Neither player is in Nabi’s plans and they will have to leave Chiefs if they are going to play more often. Also, Amokhosi management is planning on creating space for prospective international signings.

SPACE FREEING UP FOR INTERNATIONAL SIGNINGS

As reported on The South African, Ntwari is not in Nabi’s plans for next season. In fact, Chiefs are in the market for a new goalkeeper as we speak.

Furthermore, Castillo is also facing a likely departure.

“It’s been said head coach Nasreddine Nabi could be open to his [Castillo’s] potential exit, allowing the club to be more flexible in the market as they look to lure new foreign recruits to bolster the squad for the upcoming season,” the report read on iDiskiTimes.

Therefore, Chiefs could free up another two foreign spots for future international signings.

Following the departure of Dove, Amakhosi could have two to three forign spots available (if both Ntwari and Castillo are released).

AMAKHOSI’S SQUAD REVAMP UNDERWAY – SIGNINGS & EXITS

Therefore, a total of NINE Chiefs player departures are on the cards. As mentioned, FIVE players have been released. Whilst, these FOUR Chiefs players are heading out of Naturena.

Additionally, a total of NINE new players have been spotted with Chiefs. Four new signings are set to be unveiled from Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and PSL rivals.

Finally, these are the players Nasreddine Nabi wants to sign.
