Al Ahly and South African football star, Percy Tau is linked with a return to the English premier league, following his successive performance in the 2022/23 season.
The Bafana-Bafana international has been in an insperational form for the Egyptian based club as they won their 11th CAF champions league. He scored five goals and provided five assists in the tournament.
Tau also walked away with the Man of the match award after beating Al-Ittihad on Saturday. Al Ahly is now eight points closer to winning the Egyptian premier league, having few games in hand.
Percy Tau is now linked with a reunion with former coach , Vincent Kampany in his newly promoted side, Burnley. Vincent Kampany has expressed his appreciation for Tau as they have worked together in the Belgian Jupiler-pro league, Anderlecht.
Official statements are yet to be released under talks with Tau and Al Ahly.
Al Ahly and Tau need just a further two points from their remaining five league matches to secure another Premier League title and will have the opportunity to achieve this with a win against their traditional Egyptian rivals Zamalek in front of their home fans at the Cairo International Stadium on Thursday.
