Soweto-based giants Kaizer Chiefs football club has parted ways with a few players and also brought on board a few players to add to their squad ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Bringing in new players to add to the team for reinforcements is a good thing for Chiefs who has been looking to strengthen to compete for trophies again.

However, it’s not just about bringing in new additions for Kaizer Chiefs and getting rid of surplus players, Amakhosi are also busy with handing younger players new and improved contracts to keep them at the club for longer.

“The club is not just concentrating on new players. They are also looking at the contracts of the players who are already at the club,” the source said.

According to a source in the know, Kaizer Chiefs have extended the stay of one of their promising young players with an added three-year on his current contract.

Attacking midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has a contract at Amakhosi running until June 2024 but the source has revealed that he signed a new three-year deal keeping him at the club until June 2027.

“It’s a done deal. He will be at the team until June 2027,” the source added.

The 23-year-old Nkosingiphile Ngcobo made 58 DStv Premiership appearances for Kaizer Chiefs scored six goals and aided two assists.

Ngcobo was a bit part player for Kaizer Chiefs last season under the tutelage of Arthur Zwane in his maiden season as the club’s head coach.
