Chiefs & AmaZulu Starting XIs Confirmed

Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu have announced their respective starting line-ups ahead of this evening’s crunch Betway Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium.

After bouncing back to winning ways when they claimed a 1-0 win over Angola’s Kaburscop in the CAF Confederation Cup, snapping a three-match winless run across all competitions, the revitalised Amakhosi have set their sights on third spot against a wounded Usuthu side.

Amakhosi currently occupy sixth spot with 14 points from seven matches and a victory over AmaZulu would elevate them over fellow Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.

Arthur Zwane’s charges on the other hand saw their four-match unbeaten run in the league end when they succumbed to a 3-1 thumping by TS Galaxy which was on the back of two consecutive wins.

AmaZulu find themselves ninth with 11 points from seven matches but a win will see them move into the top half of the table.

Chiefs hold the upper hand in the last four meetings between the two teams with two wins and two draws.

Here’s how both sides line up:

Chiefs Starting XI: Petersen, Cross, Kwinika, Miguel, Solomons, Mthethwa, Ngcobo, Mmodi, Shabalala, Lilepo, Mayo

Subs: Ntwari, McCarthy, Frosler, Cele, Sirino, Du Preez, Chislett, Duba, Da Silva

AmaZulu Starting XI: Johnson, Allan, Mthethwa, Fielies, Hanamub, Mbanjwa, Sithole, Radebe, Kutumela, Ekstein, Ngwenya.

Subs: Mzimela, Ncama, Mzobe, Dube, Ngcobo, Zikhali, Thabede, Maqokolo, Matlhoko.
