Broos Responds To Critics – iDiski Times

Posted on November 10, 2025

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says he’s unconcerned about any critics against himself on social media.

Speaking ahead of their first training session this week as they prepare for their international friendly against Zambia in the Eastern Cape this weekend, Broos opened up on the minor blip ahead of camp, having to change hotels and training venues.

With all 23 players already reported, he was elated, for once, he was working with a full compliment of his squad going into their final preparation stages of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Since day one, his squad selections and at times, line-ups has been a cause of major debates and critics on the media and social media from supporters, but it’s not something that he’s bothered by, nor even notices.

“Well, I have to thank you for saying that, because I didn’t know, you know how I feel or feel about social media, I don’t follow it, not at all, I think if I read those things, I would laugh,” Broos said.

“Those are people who suddenly think they are important, and on social media they can say what they want, it’s nonsense, ridiculous and it doesn’t affect me all.”

South Africa host their Cosafa rivals on Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium at 18h00.
