Bradley Grobler on Bafana snub

Sekhukhune United striker Bradley Grobler has opened up about his Bafana Bafana snub.

The 37-year-old veteran striker has scored eight goals already this season across all competitions; however, he was not part of Hugo Broos’ 45-man Bafana squad. The prolific striker has not played for the national team in over five years, and it was mostly due to injuries.

At 37, Bradley Grobler is still sharp in front of goals and has so far been fit at his new team.

“It’s tough. It’s frustrating. I would like to be part of the team, especially because they are in such a great space at the moment,” Grobler told FARPost.

“There are exciting things coming for the team, and it’s always a dream to be there, especially now.

“But mentally, I think I can do anything within the league,” he added.

Bradley Grobler not giving up on Bafana dream

The former SuperSport United forward felt that he would be overlooked by Broos regardless of how many goals he scores.

“I can score 100 goals, but I just don’t think he [Bafana coach Hugo Broos] can change his mind about me.

“It’s hard to accept it, but what more can I do? I will keep pushing and keep fighting, but mentally I do have that thing in my head where [I feel] I don’t think it’s going to be real.

“But that’s not to say I won’t keep fighting and trying. But it’s hard, it’s difficult, but it’s life,” he concluded.

Bradley Grobler currently sits third on the PSL all-time top goal scorer chart with 123 goals, just seven goals behind Peter Shalulile.

Should Broos call Grobler?
