Al Ahly’s Riveiro Rules Out Move for Orlando Pirates Players

Posted on June 27, 2025

Al Ahly head coach Jose Riveiro has dismissed speculation linking the Egyptian giants with a move for Orlando Pirates players. The Spanish tactician made it clear he has no intention of raiding his former club for reinforcements.

Riveiro, who previously coached the Buccaneers, stated that while he respects the quality at Pirates, his current focus is on working with Al Ahly’s existing squad. The clarification comes amid rumors that the Cairo-based club was monitoring several South African talents.

Al Ahly are preparing for the new season as they aim to defend their domestic and continental titles under Riveiro’s leadership.
