Broos On Bafana Readiness Ahead Of Crunch Angola Clash

Posted on December 22, 2025

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has affirmed that his charges are ready for battle ahead of tonight’s opening AFCON encounter against Angola.

South Africa opens their Group B account against Palancas Negras at the Grand Stade de Marrakech this evening as they target three points.

Though the Belgian mentor admits that they face a daunting task in front of them, he is also adamant that they will be ready for Angola.

“We are very happy that we can start this tournament and play our first game tomorrow [this evening],” Broos said as per safa.net.

“We all know that we will face a tough opponent [Angola], but I think that my team is ready. It is very important we win that first game. I think you make a big step for qualification for later or to survive the group stages.

“So again, we will try to win it and to put ourselves in a good position for the second game against Egypt.”

The kick-off at the Grand Stade de Marrakech will start at 19h00 SA time.
