R22 million worth of player exits

Posted on December 16, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs are set to release a couple of players worth big money.

Kaizer Chiefs have decided to release this R10-million star at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, another Amakhosi player worth R12-million is also likely heading out.

CHIEFS SET TO OFFLOAD FOREIGN-BASED PLAYERS

Chiefs intend to sign a couple of international players in the next transfer window.

So, a few of their current foreign-based players will have to make way. As things stand, Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Thatayaone Dihtlokwe, Edmilson Dove, Edson Castillo and Glody Lilepo are all registered foreign-based Amakhosi stars.

Meaning, one, or more, of these players will have to make way. Reports claim that Chiefs will be releasing goalkeeper, Ntwari.

“They are already planning for next season and looking at the players, they want to bring in other foreign players so Ntwari is one of the players to be sacrificed to open up a foreign spaced. I think it’s all about which goalkeepers they want to keep and that’s how it’s believed that this decision came about,” the insider stated on SoccerLaduma.

He is valued at roughly R10 million, according to Transfermarkt.

SHORT-LIVED RETURN FOR DOVE?

Dovce has only just returned to action for Chiefs. Following several months on the sidelines, he made his return during Amakhosi’s 1-0 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, his return may be short lived as he is one of the players linked with a departure.

“I don’t think they will look at only signing one foreign player as they have different targets and to accommodate those new signings other players Saile and Dove are also likely to be released,” the report read on SoccerLaduma.

As reported on The South African, Dove is worth roughly 12 million. Therefore R22 million worth of Chiefs stars face likely exits at the end of the season.
