10-man TS Galaxy hold Kaizer Chiefs in Mbombela

Posted on December 7, 2025

TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs played to a goalless stalemate in the Betway Premiership at the Mbombela Stadium this afternoon.

The Glamour Boys’ last victory was on the 4th of November in a 4-1 over Orbit College at the FNB Stadium.

BETWAY PREMIERSHIP: TS GALAXY 0-0 KAIZER CHIEFS

Rather than a lift up to third place with 26 points, Amakhosi managed to move up one place to fourth place, while the Rockets remained in eighth spot.

In the absence of co-coach Cedric Kaze, Khalil Ben Youssef made three changes: Dillan Solomons, Khanyisa Mayo, and Mduduzi Shabalala came in for Thabiso Monyane, Asanele Velebayi and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

Remarkably, hosts Galaxy made only one attempt at goal compared to Kaizer Chiefs’ 19 shots. While it was the worst performance of the season the Rockets, are unbeaten in three outings.

Sustitute Nhlahla Mgaga lasted under 20 minutes after facing two yellow cards, the first on 90 (+1) and 90 (+4).

With the Christmas and Afcon 2025 break kicking off today, Galaxy’s next game will be on 25 January away to AmaZulu, while Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Zambia to lock horns with Zesco United in the CAF Confederation Cup on the same date.
