Solomons On His Recent Form

Posted on December 2, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs defender Dillan Solomons has reflected on his recent form, highlighting his key contributions in the club’s last two CAF Confederation Cup matches.

The 29-year-old scored in the opening group-stage match against Al Masry, although Chiefs ended up losing 2-1 to the Egyptian team.

Solomons then played a crucial role in securing a point against Zamalek this past week, providing the cross that the opponents goalkeeper fumbled into his own net, resulting in an own goal and a 1-1 draw for Chiefs.

The defender credits the hard work he put in during his recovery from injury for his recent form on the pitch.

“Personally, it has been a good few months for me. The hard work I did when I was injured is paying off now. Being out injured was not a good time for me,” said Solomons as per the Chiefs website.

“But I am so happy to be involved now and to help contribute to the team. Scoring a goal was wonderful but I like getting assists, which I take pride in more. I really want to contribute even more, hopefully in the next two games before the break for the AFCON tournament.”

He shared that the team has gained valuable lessons from their recent CAF encounters, with many of the players taking part in the continental tournament for the first time.

“The CAF games have been a learning experience as we have a number of players getting their first taste of continental football,” he explained.

“It has been tough, but we’ll take the results and move on with the determination to improve when the competition resumes next year.”
