Thembinkosi Lorch has continued his fine form for Wydad Athletic Club, helping the Moroccan giants to a 3-0 win in their CAF Confederation Cup opener.
Wydad beat Nairobi United 3-0 on Sunday evening, with Lorch assisting the opener by Ayoub Boucheta after just three minutes.
Mohamed Bouchouari added Wydad’s second just before the break, while Mohamed Rayhi even made it 3-0 after 86 minutes.
The win saw Wydad climb to the top of Group B, level on points with Maniema Union, who beat Azam FC 2-0.
Wydad will now face Azam in their second Group B fixture next weekend, while Nairobi United will meet Maniema Union.
Meanwhile, Lorch has been one of their standout performers, being involved in nine goals in his last nine games.
