TS Galaxy Coach – How We Revatilized Maduna

Posted on November 16, 2025

TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic has explained how they revitalised midfielder Siphesihle Maduna.

The 26-year-old signed with the Rockets on a free transfer at the start of the 2024/25 season, having previously parted ways with Cape Town Spurs.

He arrived at the club after struggling with his previous teams, Spurs and AmaZulu, where his form also had allegedly been hampered by off-the-field issues.

Since joining the Mpumalanga-based side, he has made 32 appearances, registering one goal and two assists.

According to Beganovic, the team put a maximum effort in revitalizing Maduna mentally, physically, and tactically to restore him to his best form.

“It’s not only Maduna who came, we also had many players like that, we just had to do things from the beginning,” said Beganovic.

“First of all, we started with his mental strength. He came and was empty tactically, physically and mentally. He had almost finished his career.

“But we saw his quality and we knew it would be tough. Probably, we just needed more time for him to adapt and teach him.

“First of all, we needed to explain, to show him and explain to him the beautiful game, sports and that he needed to focus and work hard.

“We spent days working with him not only physically but tactically too. We analysed everything and every moment. I think he is a good player and good human being.”

The TS Galaxy coach believes that if Maduna can maintain his current good form, he could ultimately earn an opportunity with Bafana Bafana.

“Maybe if he stays healthy and works hard. Maybe he can even play for Bafana Bafana because he has the quality. With another break in January, he can be much, much better.”
