CT City Win Late & Kruger Move Third

Posted on November 9, 2025

Cape Town City bounced back to winning ways after a smash-and-grab 1-0 win over Black Leopards while Kruger United beat Leicesterford City 2-1 in Saturday’s Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The Citizens had to wait till the 84th minute through Jody Ah Shene for the much needed maximum points after they had been hammered 3-1 by Baroka FC last time out.

Milford FC missed the chance to unseat Casric Stars at the summit after playing to a 0-0 home draw against Gomora United.

Another late win also decided the Kruger clash after Khetukuthula Ndlovu opened the scoring in the 55th minute before Leicesterford equalized five minutes later through Kavendree Makhene. The hosts left it late as Kagiso Malinga sealed maximum points in the 83rd minute.

The clash between Midlands Wanderers and Pretoria University ended in a 1-1 stalemate. The KZN outfit scored in the 75th minute but conceded in the 90th minute through Bantu Chingi.
