Pirates & R Bay Starting XIs Announced

Orlando Pirates and Richards Bay have announced their respective starting line-ups ahead of this afternoon’s Carling Knockout Cup semifinal showdown at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The Buccaneers are on a five-match unbeaten run across all competitions after their 3-1 victory over Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday and dumped CKC defending champions Magesi FC out of the competition when they secured a 2-1 win.

The Natal Rich Boys on the other hand have been impressive this campaign and are undefeated in their last three outings across all competitions. They held Sekhukhune United to a 1-1 stalemate in the league before overcoming Durban City 3-1 after extra time to book their Carling Knockout semis berth.

These two sides have met eight times in all competitions with the Buccaneers walking away with four wins to Bay’s one, and the other three ties ending in draws.

R Bay Starting XI: Otieno, Mabuya, Mntungwa, Mabua, Mcineka, Zulu, Mutizwa, Mthembu, Mhango, Zikhali, Thikazi

Pirates Starting XI: Chaine, Sibisi (c), Mbokazi, Van Rooyen, Ndaba, Mbatha, Nemtajela, Mbule, Appollis, Moremi, Mbuthuma

Subs: Buthelezi, Seema, Lebitso, Hotto, Dansin, Kwayiba, Maswanganyi, Mofokeng, Makgopa
