Hunt Gives Durban City Update Ahead Of Chiefs

Posted on November 1, 2025

Durban City coach Gavin Hunt has provided an injury update for his squad ahead of their highly anticipated match against Kaizer Chiefs.

The Citizens are set to welcome the Phefeni Glamour Boys on Friday night for their Betway Premiership clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The club opted to move the match from their usual home, Chatsworth Stadium, to Moses Mabhida to accommodate the expected high demand and need for greater fan capacity.

City, who are looking to turn the corner after two defeats on the trot, have a full squad available for selection ahead of the match, according to Hunt.

“Right now, I think we have a full house, everybody is fit,” said Hunt during the pre-match press conference.

“I think we will make a final selection tomorrow [on Wednesday]. As I said, if you look at our squad, everybody has played. Everybody has had games.

“So, it’s important that if anybody comes in, they are ready to go but right now yeah.

“Obviously, when you see a team on Friday, you might say…but we don’t really know, we will make a selection on Wednesday.”
