CT City Win Again, Milford Topple Casric At Summit

Posted on October 27, 2025

Cape Town City registered their second successive win in this past weekend’s Motsepe Foundation Championship, while Milford FC leapfrogged Casric Stars to go top of the league.

In-form Namibian striker Bethuel Muzeu had opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes, netting his fourth goal in two matches but with 10 minutes remaining, Bulelani Sigomoshe equalised for Milford before Sifiso Mdluli scored the winner seconds before the final whistle.

Highbury FC returned to winning ways handing Casric Stars their first defeat of the season away from home. Experienced Naeem Amoojee scored the only goal to secure the much-needed three points for Amajuba.

There was a perfect start for Musa Nyatama at Upington City as they beat Pretoria University 2-1. Sizwe Sithole scored first for Bafana ba Gucci, but just before halftime Luvuyo Phewa equalized for AmaTuks. Given Khuphr then slotted in a penalty to put the Northern Cape outfit in front to seal a win for Bafana ba Gucci.

CT City picked up their second win on the trot, as they rallied from a goal down to edge The Bees 2-1. Thamsanqa Masondo had opened the scoring for The Bees in the 20th minute. Just before half-time, veteran winger Keagan Dolly scored a stupendous free-kick to make it 1-1. After nine minutes played in the second half, Cayden Fortune scored the second goal for City and sealed the maximum points as they moved 11th.
