Kaizer Chiefs’ winless run extends to four

Posted on October 23, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs’ rough patch continues. The Glamour Boys fired blanks in a 0-0 draw against Siwelele FC at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night, extending their winless streak to four games in the Betway Premiership.

New Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro finally made his long-awaited debut, starting ahead of Khanyisa Mayo, while fellow signing Lebohang Maboe made the match-day squad. But despite the fresh faces, Amakhosi still couldn’t find their rhythm in front of goal.

Amakhosi had early chances through Mduduzi Shabalala, who came close twice, first denied by sharp defending and later by Ricardo Goss, whose fingertip save kept Siwelele level.

At the other end, Vincent Pule and Chibuike Ohizu both tested Brandon Petersen, but neither side managed to land a decisive blow.

HOW THEY LINED-UP

Brandon Petersen, Aden McCarthy, Zitha Kwinika, Inacio Miguel, Reeve Frosler, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Thabo Cele, Mduduzoi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi, Etiosa Ighodaro, Wandile Duba.

Substitutes: Bruce Bvuma, Bradley Cross, Thabiso Monyane, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Lebohang Maboe, Gaston Sirino, Asanele Velebayi, Glody Lilepo, Khanyisa Mayo.
