Chiefs make 7 changes as Nigerian striker starts vs Siwelele FC

Posted on October 22, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs return to FNB Stadium tonight chasing three points against a struggling Siwelele FC, with a bold line-up that seems mindful of Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup clash.

Co-coaches Khallil-Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze have sent shockwaves with seven changes to the line-up for this Betway Premiership showdown.

The inclusion of new Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro is the clear standout, while Lebohang Maboe and Asanele Velebayi make the bench ahead of their debuts.

KAIZER CHIEFS BIG CHANGES VS SIWELELE FC IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP

Amakhosi come into this clash sitting fourth on the table, six points behind runaway leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, but crucially with two games in hand.

With four wins, three draws, and just one defeat from eight outings, Amakhosi are slowly finding their rhythm under interim co-coaches Youssef and Kaze.

The braintrust has opted for a massive shake-up, dropping Dillan Solomons, Bradley Cross, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Mduduzi Shabalala, Glody Lilepo and Khanyiso Mayo from the previous match.

In come Aden McCarthy, Reeve Frosler, Thabo Cele, Mduduzi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi, Etiosa Ighodaro and Wandile Duba.
