Ex-Pirates & Chippa Winger Martin Lands New Club

Posted on October 14, 2025

Former Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates winger Craig Martin has officially joined new Western Cape ABC Motsepe League side Hope FC.

Martin was released by Chippa United at the end of last season and went to try his luck with Gavin Hunt’s Durban City but never got the luck. But with his experience, he quickly signed with new side Hope FC joining the likes of Clayton Daniels who is part of the technical team which is led by former Cape Town All Stars head coach Dylan Dean.

Hope FC bought the franchise of Oriented Birds as the Red Army will be participating in the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League this season.

They have already showed what they are made of after hammering Stellenbosch University 4-0 in the Nedbank Cup qualifier which was their first official game.
