Struggling new Orlando Pirates man slowly winning over Ouaddou

Posted on October 13, 2025

A newly signed Orlando Pirates player is finally beginning to impress coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.

The Buccaneers signed a plethora of talent in the off-season. And while some have hit the ground running, others have been slower out of the blocks.

One such player is left-back Nkosikhona Ndaba who joined the club from Richards Bay.

Abdeslam Ouaddou impressed by new Orlando Pirates man

Ndaba sealed a rather surprise move from Bay to the mighty Buccaneers at the beginning of the season.

The 23-year-old defender however has struggled to leave his mark at the club just yet.

So far, Ndaba has made just one league appearance for Ouaddou’s side along with two CAF Champions League appearances.

There is however some good news for the Orlando Pirates player who’s been tipped to play a bigger role for the club going forward!

According to Soccer Laduma, Abdeslam Ouaddou has been impressed by Ndaba.

The rising star’s work ethic and desire to learn and grow has caught the coach’s attention.

“He is a good player and will get his chance, and when it comes, he should grab it. Going to Orlando Pirates, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy. The good thing about him is that he’s disciplined, coachable, and has the right attitude. Talent is there in abundance, and he’s got age on his side,” an insider told the publication.

Ndaba’s PSL record

Ndaba made 41 senior appearances for Richards Bay before joining Orlando Pirates. He registered four assists for the Natal side.

He has been tipped for a bright future in South Africa. And, if the latest reports are anything to go by, he may soon become Abdeslam Ouaddou’s preferred left-back in Mayfair.
