Former Cape Town City and Maritzburg United midfielder Travis Graham confirmed the retirement from football at the age of 32.

Graham came through Cape Town Spurs development when it was still Ajax Cape Town and made his debut in 2012/2013 season.

Six years down the line he left the Urban Warriors to join CT City in a short deal where he only lasted for five months and left as a free agent.

After staying without a club for a year he revived his career at Cape Umoya United in the Motsepe Foundation Championship back then before joining Maritzburg United where he spent almost three seasons and captained the side as well.

At the beginning of last season Graham joined New Zealand side Christchurch United where he made more than 19 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals.

However, the the former Cape Town Spurs midfielder has now announced his retirement, stating that he is excited for the new journey.

“The time has come to hang up my boots,” he stated on LinkedIn.

“It’s been a privilege to live the game every day to compete, to learn, and to grow alongside incredible people.

“I’m truly grateful to every club, coach, teammate, and supporter who’s been part of my journey, and to my family for standing by me through it all.

“All glory to God for the path He’s led me on. Excited to see where the next chapter in football takes me.”
