Mbokazi’s time is now

Generally, in South Africa when a 20-year-old is doing well, there’s usually a sense of ‘his time will come soon’.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case with this Orlando Pirates star. Mbokazi’s time is now. He isn’t just the future, he’s also the present.

Recently, head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou praised not only Mbokazi’s football abilities but also his mindset and work ethic.

“I’m not surprised because he has a very strong shot. He’s shown it many times in training, and he took the decision to shoot from 40 yards, showing all his qualities,” the Orlando Pirates coach said as quoted by SABC Sport.

“But he’s a guy who believes in himself. You cannot shoot from 40 yards if you do not trust yourself and you don’t believe in your qualities. It’s a goal that really delivered for the team and gave happiness to all the players and fans as well.”
