New signings and 15 goals scored

Posted on October 1, 2025

Orlando Pirates new signings have so far produced the magic this season.

The Buccaneers have welcomed 14 new arrivals this season and half of them have since impressed under new coach Abseslam Ouaddou. The likes of Abdoulaye Mariko, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Kabelo Kgositsile and Yanela Mbuthuma are yet to get a decent run, while Tshepo Mashiloane was loaned to Sekhukhune United.

After seven matches, Pirates are third on the log and trail log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by six points, although they have three games in hand.

Who are the seven best Orlando Pirates new signings?

Tshepang Moremi has impressed in the past few weeks, scoring six goals across all competitions. The former AmaZulu star was jeered in his first few matches for Orlando Pirates but played a huge role in helping his side retain the MTN8 trophy last month.

Osin Appollis is another standout attacker. The 24-year-old Bafana Bafana winger impressed instantly at the Buccaneers and is already a fan favourite. He has scored three goals so far and provided four assists.

Sebone Seema has been rock solid at the back with Mbekezeli Mbokazi. The young centre-back has been the surprise package this season, forcing captain Nkosinathi Sibisi to sit on the bench for most of the games.

Other Orlando Pirates new signings with goal contributions are Mbuthuma (2), Seema (1) and Sebelebele (3). Another noticeable mention is Masindi Nemtajela. The young midfielder has shown authority and maturity in the middle of the park whenever he was introduced. Pirates’ new arrivals have already won them one trophy and expect more success in the coming months.
