Kaizer Chiefs fans get that horrible feeling of déjà vu

Posted on September 30, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs fans have had to temper early excitement in 2025-2026 as familiar failings start to emerge once more.

Progress in the Caf Confederations Cup was a welcome boost, but Chiefs need to get back to winning ways in the league.

Next, they face AmaZulu, a side always looking to get back to winning ways under former Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane.

A familiar feeling for Kaizer Chiefs fans

After winning their first three and remaining unbeaten in their first four league matches, Chiefs have dropped five points from their last six in the league; That includes a 1-1 draw with Marumo Gallants last time out and a 3-1 defeat to Sekhukhune. Worryingly, these two matches were both at home.

More dropped points in upcoming league encounters would mean a familiar feeling of déjà vu for fans.
