Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad AC coach Rulani Mokwena and his MC Alger booked their ticket for the CAF Champions League second preliminary round.
Alger faced Liberian First Division winners FC Fassell and had only drawn the first leg 0-0 away from home.
However, the Algerian champions stepped up their game in the second leg at home to book their spot in the second round.
Ayoud Abdellaouni and Soufiane Bayazid scored in the first half, while Amine Messoussa netted in second injury-time to secure a comfortable 3-0.
They will now face the winners between Jaraaf and Colombe FC in the second preliminary round.
