Official: Sekhukhune Sign Pirates Defender

Posted on September 24, 2025

Sekhukhune United have announced the signing of Orlando Pirates defender Tshepo Mashiloane on a season-long loan.

The right-back joins Babina Noko after a brief stint with the Buccaneers, whom he joined from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka FC in the off-season.

The 23-year-old hasn’t had the start to the season he hoped for, having featured in only two Betway Premiership matches.

The young defender has faced tough competition for the right-back spot in Abdeslam Ouaddou’s team. He is up against veteran players like Thabiso Lebitso, Deano van Rooyen, Bandile Shandu, and sometimes Kamohelo Sebelebele.

Mashiloane will be looking quickly establish himself at Babina Noko, who have had an impressive start to the season as they currently lead the table with 19 points from seven games, with six wins and one draw.

Their next league game is against Chippa United on Wednesday at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 19:30.
