Released Kaizer Chiefs striker joins overseas club

Discarded Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has signed with Saudi First Division outfit Al Adalah Club, sealing a fresh chapter in his career.

The 32-year-old leaves Amakhosi after two seasons, where he scored nine goals in 45 matches across all competitions.

The former Marumo Gallants attacker was also part of Nasreddine Nabi’s Chiefs squad that lifted the 2024/25 Nedbank Cup, ending a long trophy drought for the Glamour Boys.

RANGA CHIVAVIRO MOVES ON FROM KAIZER CHIEFS

Al Adalah, who have started the season with a draw and a defeat, announced Chivaviro on Thursday ahead of their King’s Cup battle against Al-Hilal.

Al Adalah Club, based in Al-Hulaylah, Al-Ahsa, are best known for bouncing between the Saudi Pro League and the second tier, the Saudi First Division.

Founded in 1984, they play their home games at the 26,000-seater Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium. While not one of the country’s giants, Al Adalah have built a reputation for giving opportunities to both local talent and experienced imports like Chivaviro.
