Ouaddou confirms bad Mofokeng news

Posted on August 27, 2025

Orlando Pirates fans would’ve been left worried after star man Relebohile Mofokeng was left out of the club’s latest match-day squad.

The Buccaneers earned a crucial 1-0 league victory over Orbit College, however it was without their star man.

Adding to the tension is the fact that Mofokeng has been strongly linked with an exit from the club, with a host of interested parties.

Now, head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has explained Mofokeng’s absence.

Relebohile Mofokeng has unfortunately suffered an injury, according to Ouaddou.

The extent of the injury is yet to be determined by the Orlando Pirates medical team.

“About Rele, I have to discuss with the medical department, they communicated with me that he cannot be part of the game,” Ouaddou said as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

“But we still don’t have full feedback on the exam that he should do. I hope it’s nothing serious because we need him.”
