Bafana Winger Mokwana Agrees Next Move

Posted on August 22, 2025

Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana has agreed to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Hazem on loan for the season, with the expected move subject to a medical.

Mokwana, 25, has spent just one season with Esperance Sportive de Tunis and is now on the move after winning a domestic treble with the Tunisian giants.

Russian Premier League clubs FC Pari Nizhniy Novgorod and Dinamo Makhachkala submitted enticing offers, but former Tunisia national team coach Jalel Kadri, currently in charge of the Saudi club, is said to have sold their exciting new project to the player.

Mokwana is expected to travel to complete his loan deal in the next 24-48 hours as he joins compatriot Mohau Nkota in Saudi, having joined Al-Ettifaq from Orlando Pirates in this current transfer window.

Mokwana has scored seven goals and four assists in 38 games across all competitions for Taraji in his solitary season at the club.
