Orlando Pirates and Monnapule Saleng won’t be meeting this season.

The Buccaneers star was sent out on loan to fellow PSL side Orbit College for the 2025/26 campaign.

And while many fans would’ve been excited at the prospect of Saleng facing his former side, that won’t happen!

Orbit College and Orlando Pirates are due to do battle in the league later this month.

Orbit head coach Pogiso Makhoye however has confirmed that he’ll have to do without his star winger for the match.

This comes after Orlando Pirates inserted a clause in his loan deal which prevents him from featuring against his parent club.

“He won’t be able to play. Him, Thuso Moleleki and Yanga Madiba, so it’s not only Saleng,” Orbit head coach Pogiso Makhoye confirmed on 947’s MSW as quoted by Kick Off.

The Buccaneers host Orbit College at the Orlando Stadium on 26 August 2025.
