Pirates & Sekhukhune Starting XIs Announced

Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s Betway Premiership clash.

It’s the second match of the season for both sides after they participated in the MTN8 quarter-final last weekend, with both managing to book a place into the semi-finals.

Pirates’ aim to go one step in the league after finishing in second place for the past three seasons. The Buccaneers showed their class last weekend when they beat Polokwane City 2-0 at Orlando Stadium. 

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune has finished in fourth place in the past two campaigns and are aiming to go a step closer this term to secure a CAF Confederation Cup spot.

Eric Tinkler’s men showed character last week when they came from a 2-0 down against TS Galaxy to the win the game by 3-2. 

In the last six meetings between the two sides, Pirates won two matches, but Babina Noko managed to win three and the other one ended as a draw.

Pirates XI: Chaine, Mashiloane, Sibisi, Mbokazi, Hotto, Nduli, Mbule, Maswanganyi, Mofokeng, Appollis, Radiopane

Subs: Dladla, Sebelebele, Dansin, Mariko, Makgopa, Dlamini, Moremi, Mbuthuma, Ndaba

Sekhukhune United XI: Leaner, Cardoso, Thokolo, Letlapa, Matsimbi, Mntambo ©, Mkhize, Monare, Makgalwa, Mncube, Grobler
