Chippa Utd & Sundowns Starting XIs Announced

Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s Betway Premiership clash.

After a very long pre-season, Chippa will test their new-look side against the defending league champions.

With a new leadership at the helm in head coach Sinethemba Badela and Sinesipho Mali as sporting director, the Eastern Cape-based side aim to build a new era of success with focus on players from their home province.

Sundowns on the other hand will be playing their second match of the season after their 4-0 win in MTN8 quarterfinal against Richards Bay last weekend. Downs didn’t have much of a pre-season after participating in FIFA Club World Cup and have some issues around some of their key players.

This is a fixture that Sundowns have dominated, as they have won all of the last six clashes, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one goal, but the Chilli Boys will aim to end the hoodoo this afternoon.

Here is how they line up:

Chippa Utd XI: Nwabali, Kammies, Ndlovu, Mfecane, Modise, Mosele, Konqobe, Seabi, Bonani, Matrose, Ndlovu

Subs: Sithole, Ramotsei, Mini, Mashele, Tshobeni, Philander, Magwaza, Peters, Madingwana

Sundowns XI: Williams, Kekana, Lebusa, Basadien, Modiba, Mokoena, Allende, Adams, Sales, Rayners, Matthews

Subs: Onyango, Cupido, Mdunyelwa, Lunga, Aubaas, Zwane, Mabena, Letlhaku, Shalulile
