South Africa international midfielder Siphelele Luthuli has secured his return to football with Siwelele, where he reunited with head coach Lehlohonolo Seema.
Luthuli, 30, has been a free agent since leaving Chippa United in 2024, and spent time training with Orlando Pirates last season but left without securing a contract.
Having played for Bloemfontein Celtic between 2019 and 2022 before their status sale to Royal AM, Luthuli is a familiar face to the Bloem faithful along with the coach he played under.
The technically gifted midfielder was part of the South Africa squad that qualified for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) when they beat Egypt and Malawi in the qualifiers for the ongoing tournament being hosted in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda this month.
He arrives with over 100 apperances of experience in the top-flight, joining Wayde Lekay, Thabo Makhele, Relebogile Mokhuoane and Buhle Mkhwanazi as their first official signings ahead of their league opener against Golden Arrows tomorrow.
