Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Coach Nabi speaks

Posted on August 8, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has left the door open for more signings before the transfer window closes, suggesting the club is still actively monitoring the market.

Speaking about the team’s recruitment strategy, Nabi confirmed that the club’s scouting department is working behind the scenes to identify possible reinforcements.

While he didn’t commit to a specific position or player, his comments show that Kaizer Chiefs are keeping their options open should the right opportunity come along.

List of new signings so far:

1. Nkanyiso Shinga, 25, Left-back

    2. Flavio Silva, 29, Striker

    3. Ethan Chislett, 26, Attacking Midfielder

    4. Thabiso Monyane, 25, Right-back

    5. Paseka Mako, 31, Left wing-back

    6. Siphesihle Ndlovu, 28, Central Midfielder.

New Orlando Pirates signing plays four positions

Nabi made it clear, however, that he is not interested in signing players just for the sake of adding numbers. Instead, he is targeting individuals who can bring a higher level of quality than what is already available in the squad.

This Kaizer Chiefs approach underlines the ambition to build a team that can genuinely compete at the highest level, rather than simply making changes to please external pressure or to plug short-term gaps.

“The window is not closed,” Nabi told the media. “I think if you have opportunities, the team that we have in scouting is working.

“And if you have a good opportunity, then why not? But I want a player with more qualities than what I already have. I don’t want a player with the same quality,” the Tunisian coach concluded.
