Orlando Pirates vs Polokwane City a SOLD OUT affair

Posted on August 1, 2025

Saturday’s MTN8 quarterfinal between Orlando Pirates and Polokwane City will be played in front of a fully packed stadium.

Kick-off for this encounter at Orlando Stadium is scheduled for 15:00.

Pirates head into this clash as defending MTN8 champions having lifted the trophy in the last three seasons.

This season’s MTN8 tournament will be even better after the sponsors increased the prize money from R8 million to a whopping R10 million.

The increase means the MTN8 remains the most lucrative Cup competition in South African football.

It is followed by the Nedbank Cup which offers R7 million as well as the Carling Knockout Cup which offers R6.6 million.
