Tebogo Potsane’s Kaizer Chiefs dreams are over. Amakhosi have announced the 31-year-old’s departure after just two seasons in black and gold.

Potsane, who was signed by Kaizer Chiefs’ former coach Molefi Ntseki from Royal AM in 2023, has left Amakhosi after 19 appearances.

The writing has been on the wall since the start of preseason, when the Bloemfontein-born winger did not travel with Amakhosi to the training camp in the Netherlands.

“Potsane Leaves Amakhosi,” the club announced via social media. “As Kaizer Chiefs continue to prepare for the upcoming season, the Club and midfielder Tebogo Potsane have parted ways amicably.

“We thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best in the future,” Amakhosi concluded.

Meanwhile, Cape Town Spurs’ Asanele Velebayi is expected to come in as a replacement on the left wing.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ CURRENT OPTIONS ON THE WINGS:

  • Glody Lilepo
  • Pule Mmodi
  • Gaston Sirino
  • Mfundo Vilakazi.

FULL OF LIST PLAYERS THAT HAVE LEFT AMAKHOSI THIS WINTER

1. Sabelo Radebe

    2. Bongani Sam

      3. Ranga Chivaviro

        4. Edmilson Dove

          5. Mduduzi Mdantsane

            6. Yusuf Maart

              7. Edson Castillo

                8. Tebogo Potsane.

Editor’s note: Despite Castillo and Sam’s clear absence and well-established reports of their departures, Amakhosi have oddly delayed the official announcements.
