New Mamelodi Sundowns defender Fawaaz Basadien has expressed excitement at the prospect of winning major silverware at Chloorkop.

The 28-year-old Bafana Bafana defender became Masandawana’s first signing ahead of the new season on Saturday with another SA international Khulumane Ndamane and Aphelele Teto likely to be the next arrivals.

Basadien has already joined up with his new teammates at the Royal Marang in Rustenburg for pre-season as they gear up for the new campaign.

“Masandawana family, I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait for you guys to fill up the stadiums and watch us win more trophies,” he said on the club’s social media.

“I’m proud to be yellow.”
