Chippa Secure Exciting New Sigining

Chippa United have secured the services of highly-rated midfielder Banele Hlophe who has been starring in the second-tier with JDR Stars.

Hlophe rose to prominence back in 2021 where he was one of the standout players with five goals in Varsity Football Tournament with North West University and eventually landed professional contract with JDR Stars a few months after.

He spent three and a half seasons in the second tier but now after netting six goals in 29 games, he emerged as one of the finest players in the league and is one of the three nominees for Player’s Player of the Season alongside Joslin Kamatuka and Muzi Khanyi.

iDiski Times have now been informed Chippa have won the race for his services after the likes of Magesi and Orbit College also registered interest in his services.

Hlophe will now be looking to establish himself in the top-flight as the likes of Cassius Mailula (TUT) and Mpho Rammala (UJ) who were part of that same 2021 edition of Varsity Cup, have since emerged into the limelight.
