Khanye On Nkota’s Saudi Switch

iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has broken his silence over Mohau Nkota’s move to Saudi Arabia side Al-Ettifaq saying the youngster worked hard to secure the move.

The winger was unveiled last week by his new club and has joined them for pre-season already. The 20-year-old aided Orlando Pirates in clinching the MTN8 trophy for a third time in succession, helped them finish second in the Betway Premiership as well as reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League and the Nedbank Cup final.

The former Kaizer Chiefs winger said he is happy for Nkota and that his peers need to learn from him what it means to grab an opportunity with both hands.

“Well done to Mohau Nkota. I think he beat so many players in his first season,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.

“The likes of Mdu Shabalala they need to learn from him, Mfundo Vilakazi and [Siyabonga] Mabena from Sundowns. I’m talking about youngsters, I need them to understand that when they get a chance from a club like Pirates, [Kaizer] Chiefs or Sundowns, to grab the opportunity with both hands.

“That boy started the season very well and there were hiccups mid-season and I was also critical as well but he raised his hand again. He won Pirates crucial games and, in the Champions League, as well and scored top class goals.

“He’s technically very good, individually brilliant, masters 1 vs 1 situations, he’s got speed and power in his feet. Well done to him for using his strengths.”
