Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be keeping a close eye on these Mamelodi Sundowns players.

Mamelodi Sundowns have garnered global interest but the Soweto giants could also have their say with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates linked with several Masandawana players.

Mamelodi Sundowns gained world exposure in the recent FIFA Club World Cup following their impressive displays in the USA. So, several of The Brazilians have gained interest abroad. Meanwhile, back in SA both Amakhosi and the Bucs are amongst the potential suitors for Sundowns players facing an uncertain future at Chloorkop.

CHIEFS LINKED WITH OUTGOING SUNDOWNS STRIKER

Amakhosi have been strongly linked with Sundowns striker, Etiosa Ighodaro.

The outbound Masandawana attacker was named in Chiefs’ pre-season squad that travelled to the Netherlands. Furthermore, he was spotted in their training group.

However, talks seem to have stalled or at least quieted down. Meanwhile, Amakhosi scouts have taken a liking to Sundowns defender, Thapelo Maseko.

AMAKHOSI AND BUCS TARGET TOP BAFANA BAFANA STAR FROM CHLOORKOP

Both Chiefs and Pirates are interested in signing Bafana Bafana man, Lebogang Maboe.

“Other clubs reportedly vying for Maboe’s signature include Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, as well as Sekhukhune United. Babina Noko had previously expressed interest in the midfielder before his loan move to SuperSport. For Amakhosi, the interest comes amidst significant squad changes, with captain Yusuf Maart’s move to Austria reportedly imminent and Edson Castillo already released,” FarPost reported.

So, the Soweto giants face are in a bidding war against each other. Meanwhile, PSL rivals Sekhukhune United are in the race too.

PIRATES SIGN DOWNS MAN, OUADDOU WANTS MORE…

Pirates secured the signature of Sipho Mbule in what is what of the biggest transfer scoops so far.

Furthermore, his signature was confirmed shortly after Pirates announced the appointment of Abdeslam Ouaddou. However, he isn’t the only Sundowns man linked with the Bucs.

As mentioned, Maboe is on Chiefs and Pirates’ radar.
