Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has given his verdict on the club’s new signings and DDC players that were on the tour in the Netherlands.

Amakhosi lost four of their five pre-season friendlies, only beating PEC Zwolle and returned to South Africa on 20 July.

Along with the squad were new signings, Thabiso Monyane, Nkanyiso Shinga, Ethan Chislett and Flavio Da Silva, with Nabi insisting Chiefs will reach a higher level with the new players.

“They need to fully jell with the group,” Nabi told Chiefs media team.

“However, they are all adapting nicely, and they start to understand what I expect from them. Our objective was to sign new players that will bring us to a higher level compared to last season.”

Nabi also included the three youngsters Thulani Mabaso, Kabelo Nkgwesa and Naledi Hlongwane from the club’s academy in the squad for the Netherlands, with the latter scoring the goal in their win over Zwolle.

“We don’t want to rush them,” Nabi explains.

“However, I am always willing to give maximum opportunities to young talents. If you are good enough, you are old enough to play. That’s my philosophy.”
