MTN8 final: All the 16 coaches that have lifted the trophy

Orlando Pirates will face off against Mamelodi Sundowns in what will be their fifth successive MTN8 final on Saturday.

Kick-off at Moses Mabhida Stadium is at 18:00.

As reported by The South African, this is a sold-out affair, meaning over 50 000 fans are expected at the venue for this encounter.

MTN8 FINAL: EVERY COACH THAT LIFTED THE TROPHY SINCE 2008

There are 16 different coaches who have lifted the MTN8 trophy since the current sponsors took over in 2008.

And only two coaches have won it twice, with former Pirates coach Jose Riveiro making history by winning it three times in a row.

Manqoba Mngqithi won this MTN8 trophy twice – with Golden Arrows (2009) and Sundowns (2021).

However, Mngqithi was not a stand-alone coach when he won it for the second time; he was a co-coach alongside Rulani Mokwena.

Abdeslam Ouaddou will join the two above-mentioned mentors should he guide Pirates past Sundowns on Saturday.
