AS Vita owes Ouaddou a lot of money
Abdeslam Ouaddou is awaiting a multi-million Rand claim from old club AS Vita, but that’s pending until the conclusion of internal affairs and the subsequent close of DR Congo’s transfer window.
Ouaddou coached the Congolese outfit in 2024.
Appollis could still leave Orlando Pirates
An unnamed club has tabled an enticing offer for Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis, and Pirates are considering it. The 25-year-old featured in every single Betway Premiership match last season for the champions, contributing nine goals and six assists in 30 outings. This term, he’s already got two goals and two assists in five matches. The transfer window closes on 21 September, but rumours suggest it will take a massive fee to convince Pirates to sell.
Nkota is back with Orlando Pirates
Bafana Bafana star Mohau Nkota’s 21 Saudi Pro League appearances last term only yielded two goals and three assists. It’s understandable, then, that the 21-year-old is back in South Africa to find his form again on loan. Nkota will vie for a starting role wide in attack alongside Tshepang Moremi and Oswin Appollis. If only two of those players can start regularly, which one of the three is the odd one out?
What’s on the horizon for the Sea Robbers?
Next up for Pirates is a CAF Champions League qualifying double-header with La Cure Waves FC. The sides drew the first leg 0-0 on Monday, and meet again on 12 September. There’s a long wait until their next Betway Premiership commitment.
