Orlando Pirates maintained their unbeaten start to the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season with a 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United. Elsewhere TS Galaxy edged Marumo Gallants 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.
Durban City FC also secured their first official win of the 2026/27 campaign, defeating Kruger United 2-0, while Siwelele FC and Chippa United played to a 1-1 draw at the Free State Stadium.
BOITUMELO RADIOPANE INSPIRES PIRATES
Orlando Pirates continued their strong start to the Betway Premiership campaign by beating Sekhukhune United 2-0 at the Orlando Amstel Arena.
Boitumelo Radiopane opened the scoring 10 minutes before halftime with a well-taken right-footed finish before turning provider for Oswin Appollis in the second half.
The Buccaneers remain unbeaten after four matches and have now kept three consecutive clean sheets, underlining their strong start to the title defence.
The biggest scoreline of the evening came at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, where TS Galaxy defeated Marumo Gallants 3-2. Gallants took an early lead through Msindisi Ndlovu in the fourth minute, but Sepana Letsoalo quickly brought Galaxy level.
Sedwyn George then put the Rockets ahead after halftime before Letsoalo converted a penalty to make it 3-1. Onke Moletshe pulled one back late for Gallants, but Galaxy held on for all three points.
DURBAN CITY FC CLAIM FIRST BETWAY PREMIERSHIP WIN
Durban City FC finally recorded their first official victory of the 2026/27 campaign after defeating Kruger United 2-0 at the Mbombela Stadium.
Jean Lwamba gave Durban City an early advantage in the seventh minute before experienced midfielder Gastón Sirino doubled the lead shortly after the break.
The result provides Durban City with an important boost as the campaign begins to take shape. At the Free State Stadium, Siwelele FC and Chippa United shared the points after playing to a 1-1 draw.
The result means both sides had to settle for a point after a closely fought encounter.
